MAXQDA: USING MAXQDA IN DATA ANALYSIS PROCESS

Hosted by ÜSKÜDAR UNIVERSITY and organized free of charge in collaboration with MAXQDA and BURACADEMY, the workshop titled “MAXQDA: USE OF MAXQDA IN DATA ANALYSIS PROCESS” was held on March 24, 2025 by Child Development Department Assistant Professor Demet Gülaldı and MAXQDA instructor Burak Varol.

The workshop was attended by senior undergraduate students, graduate students and academicians from the Child Development Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The workshop introduced computer-aided analysis applications used in qualitative and mixed method research and provided comprehensive training on qualitative data analysis and the use of MAXQDA software. By using this powerful software tool, participants have gained detailed information on how data analysis can be done more effectively and efficiently in social sciences, and the techniques and methods required for in-depth analysis of research in the field of child development.

During the training process, topics such as the stages of qualitative data analysis processes, data coding, categorization and creating themes were addressed, and how theoretical knowledge can be applied in practice with the various tools and techniques offered by the MAXQDA software was explained through sample data files.

Thanks to this training, participants will become more competent in data analysis, and at the same time, they will have the opportunity to obtain more efficient results by using powerful software such as MAXQDA in their future research.

While emphasizing the importance of qualitative data analysis in education and research processes, the workshop also aimed to provide students with the ability to use digital tools effectively.
